Celebrating 70 years

In 2026 we will celebrate 70 years of the recent Abinger Medieval fairs. Read more of the recent stories on the history page. And keep an eye out for the new banner in the procession.

Programme 2026.

  • In the main arena in 2026
    • Watch the wonderful procession as the children and stall holders enter the arena in their medieval costumes.
    • Maypole dancing by the Surrey Hills school children
    • the main display in 2026 is Invicta Medieval Combat”, one of the UK’s leading medieval armoured combat teams
    • The children’s races, and some for the adults
  • Music in the church in 2026
    • The Timeline choir
    • The Meadvale Singers
    • The Haymakers
    • A recital on the Domra, a Ukrainian instrument.
